Catching Sun House
Catching Sun House was designed by Studio Shaw for an awkward shaped plot in Walthamstow, London.
The solid concrete blockwork base engages with the neighbouring garden walls and a timber roof, precisely angled to capture direct sunlight at different times of day and year, adds height and spatial interest to the internal spaces giving clipped views of sky.
Our Mela pendant light fits in nicely to the project, its soft shape is reminiscent of a cloud passing by the upper window, and adding softness to the angular interiors.
