The Updown pendant combines glazed ceramic and matt opal glass, designed to provide a focused down light and an ambient up light from one lamp. This makes it ideal for using over tables, island units and bars and we have also seen it used to great effect as a bedside table light. The use of ceramic, hand made in Stoke on Trent, available in new monochrome colours ensures this simple lamp also looks great when not illuminated.

The glass for the Updown lamp is blown in to a steel mould. Opal glass is made of a layer of clear glass and a layer of white glass. Our Updown shade is then acid etched to create that lovely velvet matt finish.
