The inspiration behind our Gooseberry range is in the name; the terracotta pendant shade has small ridges running from top to bottom like the fruit. Glazed in a gloss white, during the firing process the glaze becomes slightly fainter along the ridges, creating the beautiful pattern. Only the leading rim of the shade remains unglazed, allowing the warmth of the terracotta to emerge under the glow of the light. This lovely pendant lighting family is handmade here in Britain.
The Gooseberry ceramic pendant light comes in three sizes, which can be used individually or in groups, looking great over dining tables, island units and bars. The small shade also works beautifully over bedside and coffee tables.

Ceiling Rose
Gooseberry season was always a favourite time for us as kids, mostly because of the gooseberry crumbles that we would make with the fruit. Though we haven’t picked any for years, they still inspired us to design a shade in their shape and with the distinctive lines running down them. Not all our customers are convinced by the comparison though… we’ve had people describe them as more like sea urchins or pumpkins than gooseberries!
