Designing the A-Beam
We loved the idea of exploring an extruded ceramic lamp design that would combine the qualities of precision engineering and craft. The A-beam is the result of 1 years worth of research and prototyping to refine this complex process. The light is extruded as long 2 meter continuous extrusions and then cut post firing in to the completed lamp. The design celebrates the extrusion process by expressing the profile at each end with a neat silicone insert to close the lamp. For more information on the process click here
