Woodside House, London
This home renovation project in North West London was designed by architects Selencky Parsons and features joinery throughout the home by Holte, alongside several of our decorative lighting fixtures.
We love the way the living space is designed with a courtyard (open on one side to the garden) acting as a lightwell and dividing up the space in a unique way. The inside/outside feel is continued with the red brick wall in the dining area. Our O-Beam in pale green looks great with the red brick and appears so lightweight hanging in the high-ceiling space. The cool tones are continued into the kitchen, with our Morandi pendants in light grey complimenting the blond wood joinery beautifully. We love the way these small pendants create visual interest above the worksurface, without making the view through the come look cluttered.
The different floor levels and ceiling heights of the living areas creates some fantastic architectural interest in the home and this is continued with elements on the other side, such as the double height lightwell in the hallway, connecting the bedroom and bathroom upstairs with the entrance-way below. Featuring our Melina pendant in this space helps to vertically connect those areas even when it’s dark outside, as the light and shapes from the pendant peek into different areas.
Upstairs, the gorgeous joinery pairs really well with the glazed terracotta of our Gooseberry small pendants as bedside lighting, again giving a natural feel with cool tones.
